Recipe :: Five Star Macaroni & Cheese



This macaroni and cheese recipe is the best recipe I have come across. The taste is smooth, creamy and very cheese-y. Kids who love those boxed mac-n-cheese varieties will love this recipe {and you won't have to worry about serving them noodles covered in artificial flavors, colors and preservatives}. Don't expect there to be any leftovers.


What You Need
2 cups of milk
8-10 oz uncooked noodles {I use gluten-free noodles*}
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup shredded cheese

What You Do
Add milk and noodles to saucepan and heat over medium/medium-high heat, stirring frequently until milk is absorbed by noodles. Remove from heat. Add cheese and salt. Stir thoroughly. Serve.

Makes 4-6 servings.

* Some gluten-free noodles require extra cooking time. If the cook time on the package is longer than 7-9 minutes you may need to add extra milk or water. As the liquid cooks into the noodles check for doneness before adding more liquid. If liquid is needed add extra milk or water in 1/4 cup increments until noodles are al dente.
