My Word for 2013

I've been thinking about 2013 for a couple months now.

... how I want it to be different

... how I want it to be better

... how I want to make every moment count

I usually make a list of goals, but this year I've decided to do something a little different.

Choose one word that best describes the way I want to live in the coming year.

I still have goals but each of these goals will be linked by a common theme, my "one word."

Are you ready for my One Word for 2013?

Not the kind of weed you are thinking of though (smirk).

I want to pull out the weeds in my life and simplify, live more intentionally through
  • social media & time spent on-line
  • consumption and waste
  • clutter in my home

In 2012 I adopted a bad habit of letting petty things soak up my attention and rob me of valuable time I could have used to do the things I love most - care for and enjoy my family, give more thought to homeschooling activities, read (just to name a few).

Do you have One Word for 2013? If so, I would love to hear about it! You can also share your word at the One Word 365 community.

  3. Hi!  Found your blog on the hip homeschool hop and have been wondering around.  I'm now following on twitter, g+, facebook and pinterest.  It seems as though we are very similar in our calling to become homeschoolers.  God too sent some lovely people into our lives to enlighten us and show us some truths to some common homeschool misconceptions.

Anyways, I love your new years theme word.  Best of luck with your weeding :)

  8.  Lots of prayer :) I've had some health issues I finally received diagnoses for this past year. Now that I know how to "heal" them, through God's grace, it's time to THRIVE! The word also has many other meanings for me this year. I keep discovering more as I journey along & it's still January! :D
